Walked out of Weathers today due to the fact of horrible customer service. Asked a simple question about a TV stand to the woman working the counter (l believe her name was Shirley). Her response to my question was “Well duh, we are a TV Store so what do you want?”. She killed the first impression right there.
So my suggestion for the ownership of Weathers TV would be to educate/hire their employees that don’t seem disgruntled or disorganized at their profession. Good old fashioned customer service goes a long way. Because of the incompetence of those employees, Weathers TV lost my business for good as well as a $4,800 sale that we gladly spent at Best Buy.
My Parents always bought from Weathers TV while I was growing up. I bought a couple of TVs there myself while I was looking around. The customer service was so great especially when I was asking for the right TV to look for. Best place to shop locally compared to other places I've been!
Stayed polite and decided to not give her my opinion to her response and see if the other employee, Jake, could assist me. As we wanted to keep our spending locally in Edmond. He came over and quoted a ridiculously high price for a TV stand with install and we were needing to purchase a TV as well. At that point we knew they couldn’t help us so they lost our business. Also, the way the employees dressed for salesmen also didn’t make confident in their abilities. Call me old fashioned but I️ just didn’t feel comfortable with a salesman giving me their pitch in jeans.
I have done business with this locally owned store for over 20 yrs. I would never buy any Item they could get me from anywhere else. TV, Audio, or kitchen appliances, I have always been happy and enjoy going in for the latest technology to make sure I am up to date! Small town feel from a city that isn't a small town anymore. Thank you Scott for always taking care of myself and my family when we come in.
Great company and very knowlegable staff. Will meet or beat the big box stores. Support local businesses.
Great service and fast, fixed my TV under 2 weeks.
So we immediately left Weathers and went down to Best Buy (Big Box Store in the eyes of Weathers and it’s customers) and were greeted by half a dozen friendly employees before we even got to the TV section. Found the TV and stand that we were looking for and a salesperson assisted us with the quote and getting delivery and install set up. Oh and this exact TV was selling at Weathers for $150 MORE than at Best Buy. So not really sure why all of the other reviews on this page say they can beat the big box stores. Maybe they don’t get out much.
