We were celebrating our 23rd anniversary. We had high expectations. Too high I guess because the experience was not good from the minute we walked in until we left. The hostess was not at the station. We stood in a cramped space by the door looking for someone to acknowledge us. When she appeared she was talking on the phone. Instead of putting the caller on hold, for the few seconds it would take to seat us she turned her back on us to make reservations for the caller. Another couple came in which made it quite cramped due to the small size of the place. We were literally pushed up against the diners because the tables were jammed together with barely room to walk between them. Finally after several awkward minutes she seated us. The waiter took his time getting to our table. We were not in a hurry. He was just not attentive. We ordered. He failed to bring bread. Could not get his attention. The Caesar was wilted and flavorless. Bread would have been nice. He brought after we had finished the salads. My entree was so salty I could not eat it. I didn't want to wait on something else so I left hungry. My husband's was the same way. Waiter never asked if we wanted another cocktail. He was quite attentive to the couples around us. He even asked the couple next to us if they were celebrating a special occasion. They were not. He did not ask us. My husband had told the hostess it was our anniversary when he made the reservation because she asked him. We are always polite to our waiters and waitresses. We always tip 20% or more. It was hard to tip anything at all. I tipped 10% but regret that. I shouldn't even give this review 1 star. It was that bad. The desserts are not worth mentioning. Tasted like they had been frozen and barely thawed out. This was a miserable, insulting and expensive experience. We do not mind at all paying a lot for good food and service but that is not at all what we received. To make it worse we had driven almost an hour to Edmond from where we live. We will never return.
I have been here several times and it is like going to eat at a friend's house if your friend had amazing food and was really good at making drinks!
By far the best restaurant in Edmond. NEVER had a bad thing on the menu. Also, the mushroom risotto is a must.
I've lived in Edmond for over 15 years and I'd never been here?!?! The Best Edmond Food Period. On my first visit we had three guests from Germany, I couldn't have made a better choice than to bring my employees and guests to Signature Grill. Reservations for 7 was simple and easy. The waitress was amazing. Got us drinks and appetizers in minutes. Then started to suggest other appetizers that were simply amazing. Shrimp, Mushrooms, you name it. The main courses were cooked to perfection. I had swordfish and my guests had filets, Rib eye, red snapper, etc. I sampled them all! ;-). The risotto was perfection. Then the biggest surprise! The waitress overheard that my guest Hans Peter Wilfer (yes of Warwick and Framus guitar fame), that in fact it was his birthday! Alles gute zum Gebertstag!!! She brought out THREE dessert plates without direction! Yeah, that fabulous!!! I couldn't ask for a more magical evening. Sure it's small, but it's RIGHT ON!
One of my favorite spots in Edmond, great atmosphere, so cozy and intimate. One of the best steaks you can get in the OKC area.
