I recently moved to Edmond from Texas and was hesitant to try a new mechanic; previously the same mechanic serviced my car for six years. My mom suggested I use Kennedy as she has used them for two years. I highly recommend Kennedy's for your auto servicing. Polite, friendly, and exceptional service, from the moment you walk in. If nothing is wrong they tell you, if your vehicle needs servicing, it isn't something they made up to increase your bill. I found them to be honest, thorough, and efficient. Not to mention speedy! I appreciate being able to walk in knowing I am taken care of. Kennedy's, you have earned my business!
They are always fast, honest & courteous. We won't take our cars anywhere else. They've done reliable service for our cars for years & we have no complaints. They keep you updated on progress & ask your permission before they correct any additional issues they find. They are an openly Christian company which is refreshing in the car repair world. They have always been available to drive me home & pick me up when my car is ready. The waiting area is always clean & stocked with coffee too- a bonus!
Expensive misdiagnosis of car repair. You are good on tires and oil changes, but that is all. We had two other cars you did service on. One, a truck, that started to smoke three months after your repair. That was in 2014. We never took it back because it was after the warranty. We traded it in. Another, a minivan that you did good work with tires and brakes. This last car that we brought into your shop, you did not include the possibility of a blown head gasket on the written estimate, even though we told you it overheated. You did not check for a blown head gasket until after you started on the car. Your service professional/customer service person gave us the written estimate that did not include estimate for repairs for a blown head gasket, which is something that you should check for when a car overheats. We received a call telling us that you "found" the blown head gasket the week after you started working on it. Not fair. We were good customers for your business before with the minivan and truck, but now we know and now we will go somewhere else.
I don't go anywhere else for my oil changes - they are fast, reliable and always go above what is expected. This weekend another example of excellent customer service. I went in for oil change and they had mentioned at the last oil that I needed a new air filter. I had bought one and it was in my car but my dad had surgery and had not been able to put in for me (its not a simple one to change) and the technician installed for me. I totally recommend this business for auto repair and oil changes. I feel confident when I leave Kennedy Tire and Auto.
My husband dropped off his car to get the heater fixed and they said it would be $50 to diagnose the problem, which was totally fine. Then they said it was the thermostat and said it would be $200 to fix it, which we had no problem with. They called us AGAIN and said the heater needed to be flushed and it would be another $350, so we paid. We told them we are college students and can’t afford to keep guessing what the problem was. When they were done they said it was fixed and we picked the car up, only to find the heater wasn’t working AT ALL and now the car makes strange grinding noises that weren’t there when we dropped it off initially. We finally took the car to another auto shop and it turns out that the problem was something else entirely. The people that work there are NOT helpful and have a terrible attitude. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
