Cause this store's prices are ridiculous. Other bookstores down the street charge way less for used books (AS IT SHOULD BE).
Textbooks are too expensive as it is. It's a fixed market. And Thompson's thrives on that.
Their prices on books are sometimes cheaper but they don't pay very much at all on buy back. You can buy them at Thompson's and sell them at Barnes and Noble.
This store is a great place to waste your time and money if you're into that kind of thing. I told the lady there i need a book for my marketing class and it took her 20 min to figure out what it was when i told her the name of the class and everything. Then when she finally figures it out, it costs $50 more than they charge down the street. Don't go here dude plain and simple.
What's up with this place? They don't give you anything back on books and their prices are OUTRAGEOUS!
I wouldn't go here if they PAID ME TO. They're really rude too. I couldn't believe how rude they were when I was shopping for my books.
